Canberra Trip (Volume 1)
That was an exciting moment when Jess and I passed up our Virology Assignment and rushed home to get ready for the trip. Everything was a rush since we were running out of time but we managed to get to the Chancellory before the bus arrived. All we saw were Caucasians, and 5 other Asians - 3 from Bhutan, 2 from China. It was an International Student Trip thingy, so other than the members of U.N.D.I.E.S, the rest were all non-Australians - from the US, UK, Norway, Germany, France, etc. There are many CHUN guys and CHUN chicks. That's a pity for Mengkim for not joining us.
It took us 6 hours to reach our Bush Capital Lodge. This lodge is extremely luxurious! Everything was in code-lock. The main gate, our room, even the bathroom and toilet! The facilities were superb. We had a pool table, foosball set, ps2, plasma TV, wireless, etc! Moreover, unlimited juices, tea, coffee and milk!
Canberra is known as a "dead-city". It's true in some sense, but not really in another. This place is like Cyber Jaya in Malaysia, made me felt like I've reached home. The night view was pretty but a bit quiet. All we can see at night were those who clubs.
During the first night, everyone was looking forward to the "night activity" which was clubbing. This of course does not include Jesselyn and I (plus the 5 Asians). The caucasians were quite upset with us for not joining, but we can't do much 'coz we just didn't like it! After dropping the caucasians down in fornt of a bar, we followed the bus tour where this driver was kinda lost too. We kept on going round and round the city but just couldn't get in, which is good 'coz we get to see more night views of the city!
The night was cold, but we entertained ourselves with ps2, foosball and internet services! Jess is very pro in her "forwards" & "midfielders" while I'm more into the "defends" & "goalkeeper"... Before I forget, I've gotta introduce my roommates!
Tsehring - from Bhutan
Tsehwang - from Bhutan
Kimberly - from US
And of course Jesselyn - from Malaysia
