The "Weirdo" Uncle

My cousin's friend was here again yesterday for more karaoke. Well, I'm gonna refer him as "Uncle" from now on. Long story short. When he realised that he was about 7 years older than me, he self-claimed that he is "Uncle". *Roll eyes* Come on, he's my cousin's age!! Anyway this Weirdo Uncle is super funny!! He's equally lame as HL plus he is a bit chubby which made him looked like FANSHU!! He even self-praised himself as "Good-looking Uncle".

Anyway, back to karaoke. When he came, I did not join them for karaoke. In the end, he asked my brother to get me up to sing with him. However, somehow I don't feel like singing at all, so I didn't go up until late at night. When I got up, he was very excited and asked if I wanted to sing duets again. Karaoke manic I guess. LoL!! In the end, I only sang one song with him. He was still singing with my brother and cousins when I went down to sleep! They ended the activity at about 2am again last night. I'm sure the maid who stays next door must be very annoyed! =p


AND he is here again today. Now playing mahjong with my brother and cousins. Nope, no karaoke.................. yet. The maid must be praying for him not to visit us again.

Oh!!! Apparently, he's a TEACHER!!! MATHS TEACHER!!

OMG!


PS. He said I looked like Junior High student or the most High School student. Hahaha!! I feel young now.

Karaoke Night

Last night, cousin Lawrence's girlfriend and friends came to our place for karaoke and mahjong. So, my brother, cousin Brian, cousin Lawrence, cousin Amy and I accompanied the guests all night. I bet yesterday was the most entertaining and lively day of the year. Other than his friends, my dad's friends came over to visit as well.

OMG! I must praise one of my cousin's friend for being such a good singer. He knows how to sing nearly EVERY SINGLE SONG that we selected. It sort of started with me singing 辛曉琪's 童話 and he sang along with me. Then he sang a couple more songs with my cousin which showed how good his singing skills was. Then we asked if he knew how to sing those duets and yes he did!! So we selected some famous duets such as 屋頂, 珊瑚海, etc etc. We even sang "My Heart will go on" together!! CRAP!! He was sooooooo awesome!! He also sang duets with my cousin such as 窗外, 千年之戀, etc etc. He can get those super high pitch notes!! *Faint*

We sang until 2am and still it wasn't enough for him. Apparently, he wanted to visit us again today for 2nd round. *Faint* I'm so not going to sing today. Maybe I should get his autograph when I could before he gets too famous one day. Hahaha!!

超偶2的總冠軍結果上個禮拜終於出來了...

令我失望的是幾乎從來沒有失誤的符瓊音因為重感冒在第二場比賽有失水準
但是我覺得她真的很不簡單耶!
生病還可以唱的這麼好!!
我也是艾成支持者,他也真的太專業了!閃到腰還可以這麼努力的完成表演!!
他們兩人真的非常出色!
最後僅僅差0.006分而已
艾成以87.395分贏過87.389的符瓊音!!
符瓊音一定很懊惱吧! 我也為她覺得可惜...
*Sigh*

老實說吧... 超偶1和2的五強我都蠻喜歡的,除了Baby Face以外...
這樣講有點對不起他們的歌迷,可是我真的覺得他們不是很穩...
例如第二場的Take me home country road 和 Umbrella, 我覺得唱得很差... 可是評審卻覺得唱得不錯!?! 我反倒覺得鍾天慧唱得Umbrella比他們好太多了...
第三場的自言自語他們又唱得很好...
有沒有人跟我有同感?

還有還有...Baby Face除了Bizzare Triangle 那首英文歌咬字還可以外,其他的英文歌好像都不行... 可是評審都沒抓... 他們有抓過別的參賽者卻沒有抓他們,讓我覺得挺驚訝的...

不是對他們有偏見
我也是有看到他們一路努力走過來...
算了不講了
我已經有被Baby Face歌迷K的準備
哈哈!!

Cheat

Gosh! This morning mom received a phone call from the so-called phone company, saying that we have not paid our phone bill. My mom was very surprised because we have been paying the phone bill regularly so she followed the instructions and pressed "9" into operator. A stupid female operator answered the call and somehow my mom has been talking to her for like 10 minutes. In the end my mom hang up the phone with anger because she felt that it's the well-known 電話詐騙. A while later my auntie came over to my house and told us that she received that phone call before. She even talked to that operator for ages before she realised that she was being cheated. It's like after you follow their intructions by pressing "9", they will start charging you for the phone call.

My mom was very worried because she gave the fake phone company her name, her mobile number, etc. She immediately called the genuine phone company and told the operator what had happened. Thank goodness those information that she gave to the fake phone company wasn't very complete and mom was smart enough to hang up the phone before the stupid operator asked further questions.

Speaking of those phone calls, my relatives have received many of those before. For example, one of my auntie has received a phone call from her "son" saying that he was involved in some accident and was in the hospital. She was so worried that she grabbed her handbag and just when she was about to rush to the hospital, she realised that it was pretty weird. What was her son doing outside school during school hours? She calmed down and called the school. The form teacher said he was still in school, totally fine. Only then she know that she was being cheated.

Another story was my cousin who received a phone call that was asking for my mom. As you know, we have been staying in Malaysia for the past almost 20 years, who will actually call my mom back in Taiwan? He was like going on and on about some bills that my mom has not paid. My cousin straight away knew that it was just another prank call, so he just pretend to listen to what the other party was saying. He said it was bloody funny, especially the other party was talking in a very serious manner.

*Sigh* Now we got to be even more alert! There are just too many con man everywhere!!


PS. Don't be jealous. I went to the hot spring today! It was totally awesome!!

昨天開始抄寫心經 靜靜心 練練字 抄到都快要會背了! 哈哈!

Guilt

I got involved in a car accident yesterday afternoon while I was driving to my maternal grandmother's house. I was driving at the speed of 70kmph and sort of slowed down to perhaps 40 or 30kmph when I was at a so-called T-junction. It's not a proper T-junction as the traffic light was only blinking yellow light - a warning light for me to slow down and take note of in coming cars.

There was one van turing left at the far left lane so I drove to the far right lane, heading straight. Suddenly an old man riding a motorbike rushed in WITHOUT looking!! Well, he rushed into the left lane first. Instead of sliding in slowly, he immediately horizontally ride onto my lane. Take note: Horizontally. I couldn't react fast enough and collided into him. I actually did step on the brake but the tragedy was unavoidable.

I was so scared. Mom rushed down to take a look at the old man. Thank goodness, as I was driving at low speed, that old man only had a minor cut on his right foot. The left handle of his motorbike was a bit broken. Mom said luckily I was driving at low speed and the old man only had a minor cut or else I will be in big trouble.

A witness came over to help too. We were quite thankful as the witness saw what actually happened. It was the old man's fault for rushing out without looking and I was going straight! In fact, it was more like he collided into our car instead of we collided into his bike. Though it wasn't entirely my fault, I felt very guilty. *sigh*

I have no courage to drive anymore.

Greetings from Taiwan

Hello my friends! I'm back in Taiwan!!

Well, the weather is fine. Warm winter so far.

Odd sleeping time and waking up time as usual (for the locals) .

It has been a week since I waved goodbye to Australia but still adjusting from jet lag I supposed. Perhaps its my watch! I did not adjust my watch 3 hours behind not because I'm lazy but because I don't want to (no specific reason). I have been a very healthy girl since I left Australia. Getting to bed early and waking up early, cutting down laptop usage, eating lots and lots of "healthy products" such as drinking the "fruit vinegar", going for SPA, etc. Oh, my auntie has a mini SPA facility in her house!

BUT I have also been eating those not-so-healthy snacks. You know, Malaysia and Taiwan have those awesome hawker stalls and snacks but they are not very very healthy. Quote a sentence from HL, "Nice food are never healthy" (I think I had this in HockLuckapaedia).

I'm heading to my maternal grandmother's house later in the afternoon. Looking forward to see my cousins there.

Hmm, that's all for the update so far. I'm going out for a walk and get my 2 sweethearts their point card.

PS. Shopping List anyone? Hahaha!! Don't be too greedy! Can't carry too much okay?

Shabu Shabu

Last night, I met up with Yu Wooi and her friend for dinner at Bandar Puteri. It was a Japanese Buffet Style Shabu Shabu, RM26.50 per person. I brought my brother and my cousin along since my dad didn't want my brother to go out with his 豬朋狗友. As for my cousin, I shouldn't leave him alone at home. So, I brought him out too. There are many ingredients to choose from. Small fish ball, big fish ball, crystal ball (which we call it as "da bien"), fish cake, prawn ball, crab stick, prawn, seafood bean curd, cabbage, ABC soup ingredients, scallop, wanton, dumpling, taro, etc etc. Too many to list. Not that I can eat everything since I had seafood allergy but there were MANY other non-seafood (excluding fish) choices. Drinks are included, self-service - Guava Juice, Orange Juice, Green tea, etc. It was REALLY good! We ate until fully bloated. It's more like contented. Unlike bloated till san fu in Silver Dolphin.

Hmm... I'm flying back to Taiwan this afternoon. Won't be seeing any of you guys until February. Happy Advanced Chinese New Year to all my friends!!

5am in the morning

Once again, I woke up at 5am in the morning. By right, it's 8am in Australia. Can't believe that I'm still not adjusted from jet lag! It never happened before the past few times that I got back. Well, at least just for a day or so.

Ironically, when I woke up, my brother was just about to go to bed. He went out with his friends for countdown, after that they went to Asia Cafe for supper. Well, he just passed his driving test 2 days ago and now he is driving without a licence!! Another reckless driver.

Thinking of what I should do so early in the morning, I sat down in front of my laptop to realise that I have tonnes of msn messages. Mostly New Year wishes. Was planning to go out for lunch with Yu Wooi and Kim Fei. Not sure what's the plan now since Yu Wooi dropped me a message telling me that the restaurant was fully booked. *faint*

I watched Cape No. 7 on my cousin laptop. I was really anticipated since I heard that it was REALLY GOOD and the trailer looked really funny. To my disappointment, I think it was just okay. Guess it was overrated afterall. Can't really compare to The Dark Knight anyway. They are 2 different movies.

Took a shower after that and did some laundry. It's only 7.10am now and here I am.

Oh, before I forget, I went to Pyramid yesterday and got myself 2 pairs of Adidas shoes. It took me perhaps an hour or so to choose them mainly because they do not have my size!! Gosh!! It's so funny that Pyramid has 2 Adidas outlet in about few hundreds steps away. When the first stall did not have my size, I went to the next store to shop. It costed about RM400+ in total but there was 30% off one pair so it summed up to RM300+. Of course, dad did the paying. Oops! I'm still parasiting in my dad.

In dad's theory, 新年就是要穿新衣... and it's gonna last for at least a year (for me it is). As for my lucky brother, he just got a pair of Adidas shoes from me for his birthday all the way from Australia. It costed AUD150 per pair without discount. After discount it was AUD75 per pair (actually it was AUD150 for 2 pairs). Not to mention the exchange rate from AUD to RM was 1 to 3.4 when I bought it. Now dad is getting him a new pair. LUCKY COW!

Enough of "showing off" with my shopping.

I should check on my laundry now.
